Physiotherapy Assistant - Rehabilitation Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Rocky Mountain Physiotherapy and Wellness. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will provide support to our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the rehabilitation of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer evaluative tests and assist health care professionals in the rehabilitation process.
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
  • Position patients for treatments and set up and dismantle equipment.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, and prepare and maintain supplies.
  • Assist chiropractor with patient health education and maintain supplies and inventory.
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.
  • Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients and order supplies and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and provide support to patients with various needs.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a remote location and in a rehabilitation centre and special health institution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
