At Scotiabank, we are seeking a skilled Technical Architect for Global Wealth Management. This role is responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions to support the bank's global wealth management business lines.

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive benefits such as flexible vacation, personal, sick days, and comprehensive health insurance.
Job DescriptionThis Senior Software Engineer position requires an individual with at least 7 years of experience in developing scalable, enterprise-level technology stacks using Java, SOAP, and JSON. You should have expertise in application architecture and API design, as well as experience working with microservices and Spring boot. Additionally, you should be proficient in cloud-based technologies such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.
- You will be responsible for championing a customer-focused culture, deepening client relationships, and leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- You will apply your development experience to deliver microservices in the cloud (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- You will project implement and application integrate.
- You will provide technical documentation of the solution.
- You will support production issues and handle escalations during release cycles as needed.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java, SOAP, and JSON.
- Expertise in application architecture and API design.
- Experience working with microservices and Spring boot.
- Proficiency in cloud-based technologies such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.
