Fullstack (React) Technical Lead - Global Wealth Management Technology Leader

Are you a highly skilled technical professional looking for a challenging role that combines leadership and technical expertise? We are seeking an experienced Fullstack (React) Technical Lead to join our team in the Global Wealth Management Technology department at Scotiabank.
About This RoleThis is a hybrid position based in Toronto or Ottawa, Canada. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading technical decision-making for scrum teams, collaborating with solutions architects and other technical leads. You will also develop coding standards and testing approaches, guide your team through technical issues and challenges, and delegate work and assignments to team members.
You will work closely with product owners and Business Solutions Architects (BSAs) to plan next-in-priority technical items in the backlog. Additionally, you will design and develop UI & API based on Cloud solutions, such as Microsoft Azure, Google GCP. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing highly complex business requirements; generating technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building scalable, enterprise-level technology stacks with Java and JavaScript.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
- Strong knowledge in web service development with Java 8+ or above, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data and Swagger/OAS (Open API Specification)
