Job Title: Public Relations Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Public Relations Account Manager to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client portfolios, building and maintaining relationships with top-level media, and executing strategic plans to secure client coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for client portfolios
  • Manage and maintain relationships with local, national, and international media
  • Host events, dinners, and media/influencer trips to secure client coverage
  • Plan and execute media and influencer drops, gifting, and sponsorship opportunities
  • Work closely with the agency director on business development activities to secure new clients and PR projects
  • Mentor and oversee junior members of the team
Requirements:
  • 4+ years' experience in PR or related industry role
  • Previous account management experience
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and cloud-based software
  • Competent at using Microsoft Office and cloud-based software
  • Understanding of the Canadian media landscape and beyond
Advantageous Skills:
  • Understanding of traditional and digital communications platforms
  • Previous experience working in an agency
  • Travel/hospitality experience
  • Event planning experience
