This position is responsible for monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property by closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records. The Surveillance Operator will ensure adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and support a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, document, and report violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain logs and records, storing records for evidence purposes.
- Monitor, document, and report on conditions of surveillance facilities and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Build strong working relationships with guests and team members.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
- Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons.
- Observe cashier transactions, slot drops, escort cash and cash equivalent movements.
- Tag and report found property; transfer items to Lost and Found.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed.
- Escort guests and employees as directed.
- Perform identification checks.
- Refer disputes to the Supervisor, Security.
- Designated Security Officers may be required to attend to First Aid incidents, after completing an Occupation First Aid course. The designation will be at the discretion of the Security Manager.
- May enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program at some locations.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Comply with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Perform duties surrounding surveillance needs as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
- Monitor, document, and report internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons, and activities; prepare electronic statements via a non-gaming record keeping system.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous security experience an asset but not required.
- Gaming Security Officer training and additional training as requested.
- Serving It Right Certification.
- Can understand, speak, and write English, fluency in other languages an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
This position will work in a regular office environment, with non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances.
