Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Community Care Licensing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in community care facilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the provision of care in licensed facilities to ensure compliance with legislative standards and regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and incident reports to ensure safe and appropriate care is being provided.
  • Conduct regular reviews of facility files to identify areas that require additional support or monitoring.
  • Assess applications for new licenses and facilitate smooth start-ups by evaluating physical plants, suitability of licensees or managers, and operational plans.
  • Evaluate requests for exemptions from legislative standards and determine the levels of increased risk to health, safety, and dignity.
  • Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to share best practices and identify available resources for licensing regulatory practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as social work, nursing, or public health.
  • Significant experience in a related field, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make sound judgments.
