Resident Engagement Manager

As a key member of our team, the Resident Engagement Manager plays a vital role in creating a dynamic culture that promotes resident wellbeing, choice, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead initiatives that foster a sense of community and belonging among residents
  • Oversee The Market to ensure it meets the needs of residents and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Complete professional development training and ensure team members receive necessary certifications and training
  • Implement and enhance the new resident welcome initiative to support residents in connecting with the community
  • Foster relationships with local organizations, vendors, and contractors to support resident engagement and wellbeing
  • Support the General Manager in organizing Town Halls and Resident Council meetings
  • Develop the monthly community calendar of events and newsletter
Requirements:
  • Possess a passion for promoting the health and happiness of seniors through lifestyle wellness experiences
  • Hold a degree or diploma in Gerontology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Health Promotion, or Health Sciences
  • Have a minimum of one year of experience programming for seniors in senior living, independent living, or assisted living environments
  • Have a minimum of one year of management and supervisory experience
  • Be certified to teach group land fitness and aquatic fitness to seniors, or be willing to obtain certification within the first 60 days of employment
  • Hold a valid driver's license and/or special-class license, and have a clean driving record
  • Hold a current certificate in CPR and First Aid
