Job Title: Education Mentor

We are seeking an experienced Education Mentor to join our team at Prep Academy Tutors. As an Education Mentor, you will be responsible for providing academic support to students based on your expertise and knowledge of the Ontario curriculum.

About Us

Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home tutoring company that delivers flexible and personalized tutoring programs to our students. We cater to students from age four to twenty and hire only certified teachers or those in the process of completing their degree in Education.

Estimated Salary: $40-$60 per hour

As an Education Mentor, you can expect a competitive rate of $40-$60 per hour, depending on your qualifications and experience. Our tutors enjoy flexible hours, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Ontario curriculum.
  • Develop and provide supplemental assignments to help promote greater understanding of material.
  • Offer remedial and enrichment support for students.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.

Requirements

To apply for this role, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • You hold a registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • You are qualified to teach at a school in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Ontario.
  • You are qualified to teach at a school in the United States.
  • You are a current teacher candidate; pursuing a bachelor of education in Canada.
  • You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College.
  • You have experience as a teacher in a Canadian Elementary or High School.
