Job Title: Community Services Worker

At Niagara Region, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Services Worker to join our team. As a key member of our client-centered team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families in accessing necessary supports and services to achieve life stabilization objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide coordination and administrative supports to clients and program staff
  • Deliver person-centered, customer service through in-person, telephone, and electronic channels to a diverse and vulnerable population
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide support and resources to clients
  • Conduct interviews and provide coaching to individuals and families to find and use community resources
Requirements:
  • Completion of a 2-year College Diploma in a Social/Human/Community Services discipline
  • Over 2 years of demonstrated experience in a human/social services environment, working with vulnerable populations
  • Experience dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Proven aptitude in problem solving and decision-making
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training in software courses, including database, spreadsheet, word processing, and other software applications
  • Experience working with provincial databases and related systems
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, policies, guidelines, and frameworks
