About the Role
Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance and direction to staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Responsible for hiring and managing the performance of staff to meet business objectives.
- Accountable for the financial and operational success of the pharmacy department, including budgeting and cost control.
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patient needs.
- Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner.
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives, such as public health days and clinics.
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor's requests/issues.
- Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution, identifying sales opportunities and reporting to management.
- Review and control costs at all levels within the pharmacy department.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a retail environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and coach others.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
- Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the experience of formulating and executing action plans.
- Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of HealthWatch Pharmacy systems.
