Job Overview

We are seeking a Chief Intelligence Strategist to join our team at OpenTable, an industry leader in hospitality. About the Role
  • Research and monitor competitors' business and product strategies to identify areas of opportunity and threat.
  • Articulate competitive insights to diverse audiences, including executive management, sales teams, and customers.
  • Support field teams with global competitive training, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in a rapidly changing market.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Legal, to ensure competitive insights are incorporated into decision-making processes.
Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to distill complex data sets into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience working in the hospitality or restaurant software spaces, and/or B2B SaaS, is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Competitive Intelligence and having been certified through accredited providers.
  • Field-facing experience working with customers in a sales or customer success capacity.
  • Shown understanding of enterprise software or SaaS economics.
  • Hands-on experience in performing analysis using BI tools.
  • Experience in market research and quantitative analysis, including pricing research.
Salary

The estimated salary range for this role is $130,000-150,000 CAD per year, depending on location and experience.
