We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Manager in Training to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our Meat Department, you will be responsible for participating in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of all Meat Associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Training: Participate in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of all Meat Associates to ensure a high-performing team.
- Meat Store Within A Store (SWAS) Planning: Complete all aspects of the SWAS planning, attend SWAS meetings to review SWAS Reports for food products, orders, and sales information, and ensure in-stock and appropriate inventory levels in the Meat Department by executing all merchandising programs and replenishment programs.
- Inventory Management: Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high shrink items, and maintain a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete and maintain required paperwork, such as Inventory Tracking Reports, throwaway record sheets, invoices, and assignment notes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
