The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. in Woodstock. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures, conducting examinations in accordance with regulations and protocols, and working closely with our team to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures independently
  • Conduct examinations in accordance with CMRITO, MOH, CNSC regulations and KMH's protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Apply independent judgment and critical thinking during examinations to ensure accurate data capture
  • Prepare, assay, and administer radioactive materials to patients
  • Prepare patients for scanning on Gamma Cameras and instruct or aid patients during procedures
  • Maintain equipment and ensure examination rooms are properly supplied and equipped
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure excellent patient care
Requirements
  • 1 year of work experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is an asset
  • Completion of recognized education in Nuclear Medicine
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Nuclear Medicine procedures and operating regulations
  • Current registration in good standing with CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario) and CAMRT
  • Experience with PET is an asset
  • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance
  • CPR certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Word and Outlook)
  • Experience with EMR systems
