Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. in Woodstock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures independently, ensuring accurate data capture and patient safety.
  • Conduct examinations in accordance with CMRITO, MOH, CNSC regulations, and KMH's protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Apply independent judgment and critical thinking during the examination to ensure all necessary data is accurately captured.
  • Prepare and administer radioactive materials to patients, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Prepare patients for scanning and instruct or aid them during the procedure, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
  • Maintain work areas and ensure examination rooms are properly supplied and equipped, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure equipment is well-maintained and in good working order, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team to assist with patient care, providing exceptional service and support.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred.
  • Completion of recognized education in Nuclear Medicine is required.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Nuclear Medicine procedures and operating regulations are essential.
  • Current registration with CMRITO and CAMRT is mandatory.
  • Experience with PET imaging is an asset.
  • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance is required.
  • CPR certification is also necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration and patient interaction.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems is expected.
  • The ability to provide coverage at a second KMH lab is an asset.

Work Details:
  • This is a full-time role, scheduled for 4-5 days per week, with alternate weekends.
  • Shifts can vary between 6:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., depending on operational needs.
