FILCAN YACHTS LTD. is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to the desired color and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to the desired color and texture
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work outdoors and in confined spaces

Equipment and Machinery Experience:

  • Airless spray equipment
  • Brush painting
  • Conventional spray painting
  • Electrostatic applications equipment
  • Multi-ratio pump spraying
  • Patterned rollers
  • Roller painting
  • Thermal spray equipment

Testing Equipment Experience:

  • Moisture gauges
  • Thermometers

Surface Preparation Experience:

  • Drywall taping/patching

Coating/Application Specialization:

  • Urethanes
  • Dipping

Wood Finishing Specialization:

  • Graining
  • Marbleizing
  • Staining
  • Glazing

Wall Covering Specialization:

  • Wallpaper
  • Vinyl
  • Fabrics/upholstery
