Job Title: Retail Buyer

At Trapper Trading Post, we are seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team. As a Retail Buyer, you will be responsible for arranging products according to planograms, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to outlets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Management: Arrange products according to planograms to ensure optimal store displays and customer experience.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other buyers and team members to achieve sales goals and improve store operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail or purchasing environment.
  • Skills: Efficient interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks such as data entry and inventory management.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate records and ensure attention to detail in all aspects of the job.

  • Team Player: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and improve store operations.
  • Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
