Community Health Specialist

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Community Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community health team, you will work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to develop and implement healthy living strategies, programs, and initiatives that promote the well-being of our communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement community health initiatives that address the social determinants of health, including tobacco reduction, food security, healthy weights, and physical activity.
- Collaborate with local governments, community groups, and health care providers to foster a collaborative community approach in program planning, service delivery, and policy development.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform local government and Fraser Health on community health initiatives, and provide recommendations for evidence-based practice.
- Build relationships with local government, school district, and community leaders to promote cooperative approaches to current and emerging issues.
- Support and participate in strategic planning, evaluation, needs assessments, project development, and implementation.
- Master's degree in Public Health, Applied Science, or related field.
- Three years of recent related experience in community development, health promotion, community engagement, and population health.
- Current valid BC Drivers License and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.
