Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Health Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with diverse community groups, service providers, and government agencies to deliver healthy living strategies, programs, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community health initiatives that address behavioral risk factors and health inequities.
  • Collaborate with local governments, workplaces, schools, and healthcare providers to promote healthy living strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports to inform local government and Fraser Health on community health initiatives.
  • Build relationships with local government, school district, and community leaders to strengthen community connections and promote cooperative approaches to current and emerging issues.
  • Support and participate in strategic planning, evaluation, needs assessments, project development, and implementation.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Applied Science, or related field.
  • Three years of recent related experience in community development, health promotion, community engagement, and population health.
  • Current valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.
