We are seeking skilled individuals for Maintenance Millwright Red Seal/ Apprentice positions with Power Engineer qualifications to support our manufacturing operations.
This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our production assets. As a skilled Millwright, you will provide mechanical expertise and support to ensure the smooth operation of plant equipment and production assets.
We require individuals who can diagnose problems accurately and efficiently, take corrective measures, and perform root cause analyses for permanent fixes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide mechanical expertise and support for installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets.
- Diagnose problems accurately and efficiently, taking corrective measures and performing root cause analyses for permanent fixes.
- Repair equipment/parts in the shop if required and work with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and in the maintenance shop.
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety requirements and Safety procedures.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, CCP, Lean, 5S, SOP, WHMIS.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to interpret and understand blueprints.
- Ability to problem-solve and bring value-added industry best practices to our organization.
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial / AB/ ON/ BC Millwright or Millwright Apprentice.
- Valid Power Engineer Certificate required.
- Must be a certified 4th class Power Engineer or 5th class in boiler and refrigeration.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical plant is an asset.
- Working-level proficiency in the English Language, good reading, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- AM & PM shift open- hours assigned by seniority.
- Be able to work flexible shifts, including overnight shift.
- Be able to work OT as per the business needs.
- A competitive salary of $44.13 per hour, commensurate with experience.
