Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) imaging and related technical and patient care duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform PET/CT scanning procedures, including selecting the appropriate imaging protocol, positioning patients, and presenting final image data sets to physicians for interpretation.
  • Prepare patients for scanning procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and obtaining informed consent.
  • Correlate clinical history with examinations, take vital signs, establish venous access, and administer radiotracers as required.
  • Monitor patient safety during procedures and respond to emergent situations according to facility policies and procedures.
  • Operate PET and associated CT computers and equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Three years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Completion of formal PET/CT education or equivalent training and/or experience.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
