About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer to join our team. As a NOC Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the maximum possible service availability and performance of our internal network services and client-managed services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring and Maintenance: Manage and maintain our monitoring systems to report on the status and performance of our internal network services and client-managed services.
  2. Fault Handling and Escalation: Identify and respond to faults on systems and networks, liaise with 3rd party suppliers, and handle escalation through to resolution.
  3. Provisioning: Provision Teamviewer and Pulseway profiles, leased lines network configuration, 3CX telephony provisioning, customer backup provisioning and deployment, and Bitdefender and Sophos endpoint provisioning.
  4. Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform server, workstation, and laptop builds and installs, application upgrades, network equipment builds and installations, and maintain hardware asset audits.
  5. Health Checks: Conduct proactive and reactive monitoring and management of both internal and client equipment via partner support portals.
  6. Documentation: Maintain WIKI and technical documentation of processes and procedures used throughout normal operations.
  7. Knowledge Development: Develop knowledge and skills in network and system administration, particularly regarding Aztek's own architecture and platforms.
  8. Support: Provide support for cloud-hosted solutions, internet services, and telephony services.
  9. Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery activities, including executing system failover scripts.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 48-72 months of experience in a Technical Support or similar role.
  2. Great communications skills, founded in being a good listener.
  3. Basic Linux CLI skills.
  4. Basic sysadmin skills.
  5. Ability to work well in a busy team, being quick to learn and able to deal with a wide range of issues.
  6. Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources.
  7. Ability to assess and prioritise faults and respond or escalate accordingly.
  8. A deep desire to deliver an amazing client experience.
  9. UK Driving Licence.
  10. Ability to speak both technical and human.
  11. Ability to keep up with and adapt to the fast-paced IT world.
