Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst, Consolidation to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing monthly consolidation and intercompany elimination entries, as well as quarterly cash flow statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly consolidation and intercompany elimination entries
  • Prepare quarterly cash flow statements
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Canadian GAAP
  • Maintain financial reporting system and implement enhancements to enable efficient reporting
  • Create and maintain Cognos Controller and Cognos 8BI reports
  • Respond to and resolve problems and issues related to reporting systems
  • Coordinate with IT for system issues
  • Upload subsidiaries' trial balances into the ERP system and maintain related account mapping
  • Prepare quarterly financial packages to regulatory agencies
  • Ensure the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of financial statements for the parent company and subsidiary companies
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Assist in the preparation of accounting, financial reporting, and tax working papers as required
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries and issues related to financial reporting
  • Assist with other ad-hoc requests and projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in consolidation and financial reporting
  • Post-secondary education in accounting/finance or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Professional accounting designation an asset
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office; experience with JD Edwards, Cognos Controller, and Cognos BI experience preferred; experience with any other accounting software an asset
