Job Title:

We are seeking a skilled Change Management Specialist to join our team at York Region. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and applying structured change management approaches to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of new processes and technologies.

This role is critical in fostering an environment that supports organizational alignment, team member engagement, and effective communication. You will work collaboratively with various teams to build comprehensive change management plans, identify risks, and propose mitigation tactics to support end-user adoption.

  • Focusing on the people side of change, you will build awareness and support to drive faster adoption, desired ways of working, and proficiency with changes impacting employees across the region.
  • You will collaborate with the Manager, Business Readiness, to apply change methodology and develop change management strategies and plans.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in business, human resources, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a change management role, including direct supervisory experience. Professional designations such as PMP, PROSCI, or equivalent, are an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans to support end-users.
  • Contribute to the continuous refinement of the adoption strategy and plan.
  • Work directly with the program team and key collaborators to identify change metrics and assess change effectiveness.
