Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and inspection.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and tarping of cargo to prevent damage or loss.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate log books and records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and AZ class license.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, judgment, and reliability.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week, with overtime required as needed.
