Job Title: Skilled Finish Carpenter

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled finish carpenter to join our team at Solid Wood Home Services Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
