About the Role

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is a key member of the maintenance team at Newmont's Éléonore mine site, a world-class gold mine in Quebec. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment, including CAT equipment
  • Ensure the worksite is clean and safe at all times, adhering to occupational health and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with the reliability group to develop and implement maintenance procedures
  • Participate in surface facility occupational health and safety activities, including LWE
  • Report incidents and accidents to the supervisor, maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with outside stakeholders to improve maintenance work procedures
Requirements
  • College studies diploma or vocational diploma in heavy mechanics
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license
Working Conditions
  • 14 days of work followed by 14 days off
  • Eleonore mine site (Fly-in, Fly-out)
