Catering Service Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Service Manager to join our team at Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Mississauga. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of catering services for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Development: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  • Financial Management: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance reviews to assess the effectiveness of our catering services and identify areas for improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary supplies are available for catering events.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure the best possible rates.
  • Client Relations: Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to ensure their needs are met.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our catering services.
  • Leadership: Lead and instruct individuals to ensure that all catering events are executed to the highest standard.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure that all catering events are successful.
Supervision:
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 people to ensure that all catering events are executed to the highest standard.
