Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Registered Nurse to join our team in Sydney, Nova Scotia. As a Public Health Nurse - Immunization Expert, you will play a critical role in providing immunization services to our clients, as well as contributing to disease prevention and health promotion initiatives.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary primary health care team to provide individual or group appointments, public health/immunization campaigns, and health education sessions within or outside the health services facility.
The successful candidate must have three (3) full-time equivalent years of clinical experience within the last five (5) years in nursing practice, including a mandatory comprehensive experience with immunization procedures/protocols. Strong IPAC and immunization skills are required.
Candidates must also have a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university, current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Manitoba, and Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C. Annual recertification is required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Manitoba
- Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
- Three (3) full-time equivalent years of clinical experience within the last five (5) years in nursing practice, including immunization procedures/protocols
