Role Overview

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Prosecutor to join the Economic Crimes Unit in the Specialized Prosecutions Office in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Economic Crimes Unit handles complex and sophisticated cases involving economic crimes, including corporate fraud, securities fraud, and mass-marketing fraud. The successful candidate will have exceptional litigation skills and a passion for complex and challenging criminal cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prosecute complex cases involving economic crimes
  • Provide advice and counsel to the police at the pre-charge stage
  • Work with victims of crimes and their families
  • Collaborate with stakeholders of the justice system
