Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labourer - Metal Fabrication to join our team at Carriere Industrial Supply Limited. As a Labourer - Metal Fabrication, you will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment, transporting items throughout the plant, and assisting metal workers with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Load and unload vehicles.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • The job is physically demanding and requires standing for extended periods.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling are also required.
Weight Handling
  • The Labourer - Metal Fabrication will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Suitability
  • Flexibility is essential for this role.
  • Reliability and a team player attitude are also required.
  • Punctuality is crucial.
  • Analytical skills are necessary for this position.
