About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team at Quality Forum. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing program data, using advanced qualitative and quantitative methods to drive insights and inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports all data requests received from within drug programs and other departments by performing the following tasks:
  • Reviewing, extracting, and cleaning of data
  • Manipulating and merging data
  • Analyzing data
  • Preparing data summaries

In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for managing department data input, analyzing data, preparing summaries and visuals, creating reports and presentations concerning physician prescribing. You will also undertake and oversee the maintenance of records and reports, provide data management and analysis for assigned projects and strategic planning including KPI tracking and reporting, maintain data integrity by completing control checks such as bi-annual therapeutic class audits, create and implement processes related to the Prescription Review Program (PRP), annotate and analyze practitioner prescription profiles (PPP) for medical consultant review, generate data charts and graphs as required, support investigation queries as requested by the drug programs manager, deputy registrar or medical consultants, complete the department's user acceptance testing when updates or new data and reporting technologies are required and manage department rollout, collaborate with various partners and interested parties at local and provincial level to obtain and provide necessary information, ensuring data quality, responsible for adding, removing and maintaining all prescribing restrictions placed on physicians by CPSBC in the PharmaNet system, perform any other related duties and participates in special projects as required to support drug programs and CPSBC, advise on pharmacy and drug-related enquiries received by the department, takes measures to protect all data and information sources to comply with CPSBC's privacy policy and procedures.

About You
  • You have a bachelor's degree preferably with an emphasis in statistics, computer science, science, or another field supplemented by a certificate/diploma/degree specializing in related technologies.
  • You have three or more years of experience as a data/information and/or reporting analyst managing and controlling data.
  • You have three or more years in health care or a strong understanding of pharmacy language and drug knowledge is required.
  • You possess excellent quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and investigative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Access, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • You excel in oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You are detail-oriented with strong organization skills to handle multiple concurrent tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • You are self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and independently execute assigned work as well as collaborate and work within a team.
  • You demonstrate knowledge and application of relevant legislation, ethical and legal obligations, guidelines relating to privacy, confidentiality, and security of information.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is located in British Columbia, Canada.
