Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at Brandt, a leading provider of manufacturing and distribution services. This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of truck and trailer-based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, and operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel using parts catalogues.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Experience in CAT, CUMMINs, and PACCAR engines is considered an asset.
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
  • Must be registered in the 310T trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
