Truck Technician

Job Summary:
Brandt is seeking a skilled 310T Truck & Coach Technician to join our Cardinal Peterbilt location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of trucks, trailers, buses, and coaches in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, and repair on-road equipment efficiently and effectively.
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely.
- Utilize related instruments, hand/power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
- Accurately document machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders.
- Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Collaborate with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements.
- Road test equipment and verify repairs as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration work.
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
- Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A commitment to high-quality customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
