Job Title: Chief Medical Information Officer

The Chief Medical Information Officer is a key leadership position responsible for advancing the utilization of technology-enabled medical and clinical information management to improve quality outcomes for patients across clinical operations and team-based care within clinical operations and the interdisciplinary healthcare teams across Northern Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic physician engagement in Northern Health's information technology initiatives
  • Development of strategies to maximize physician uptake of technology solutions
  • Advising on strategies for development, design, implementation, benefits, change management, and adoption of informatics solutions
  • Ensuring strategies align with organizational objectives and clinical needs are translated into technology solutions that optimize care quality and patient safety
Requirements:
  • Clinical leadership experience in the healthcare sector, including experience with electronic clinical systems
  • Broad knowledge of clinical practice and the roles of multidisciplinary healthcare team members within a patient- and family-centered care model
  • Knowledge of patient safety/quality management, performance management, and accreditation standards
