Job Title: Perinatal Registered Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Perinatal Registered Nurse to join its team at Richmond Hospital.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to women and babies in our Perinatal Services department. As a Perinatal Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal perinatal care to women and babies, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in perinatal care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved nursing program.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and current National Registration in CPR and NRP required.
  • Completion of a post-basic obstetrical/perinatal nursing certificate/diploma.
  • Two (2) years' recent related experience in a Level 2-3 Maternity Unit, supplemented by courses in fetal health assessment and breastfeeding or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
