About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Global Transaction Banking team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enabling portfolio teams to make value-based decisions that align with the strategic vision of Scotiabank Enterprise Payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the evaluation, approval, execution, and value measuring of strategic payments services to Lines of Business' strategy objectives of increase revenue, customer growth, reduction in cost, and seamless experiences.
  • Supporting the definition of enterprise business model, strategy, process, KPI, benefit, and experience for Scotiabank.
  • Owns the Product Backlog of MVPs and maintains its priorities industry trends, internal strategy while ensuring top MVPs are execution ready.
  • Leads the development and ongoing tracking/reporting of business & delivery KPIs (e.g., dashboards).
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to shape payments strategies, define executable MVPs, and customer-oriented with specific tactics to address opportunities and barriers.
  • Drive change management efforts within Enterprise Payments by conducting needs analysis/analyzing recommended and/or implemented changes, preparing workflows/procedures to ensure new functions/processes are integrated into the operational environment, and ensuring proper determination of workflow effort differences between existing and recommended processes.
  • Serve as a facilitator and relationship-builder among key stakeholders with sometimes competing priorities.
Requirements
  • Self-starter possessing confidence and initiative; able to cope with changing and evolving priorities while identifying new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of payments, industry trends and practices, innovative digital platforms, policies, and procedures an asset.
  • 2+ year experience with transaction banking products.
  • Product management expertise to enable the thorough understanding of products/services.
  • A positive attitude combined with confidence to drive team priorities.
  • Knowledge of the Bank's application systems and their relationships within the Bank is an asset.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is an asset.
  • University Degree in business, economics, or technology (MBA an asset).
