Job Summary


Techo-Bloc, a leading manufacturer of paving stones and retaining walls, is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team at our Ayr Production Facility.


Key Responsibilities



  • Perform maintenance and repairs on advanced manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, overhead systems, and robotic systems.
  • Maintain and improve plant machinery and equipment to minimize production line disruptions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment per standardized procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, bearings, and gears.
  • Analyze and resolve electrical and controls issues throughout the plant.
  • Troubleshoot automation systems and devices (PLC, I/O, VFDs, fieldbuses, communication networks).

Requirements



  • Ontario or Inter-Provincial (442A/Red Seal) Electrician Certificate of Qualification
  • Completed Electrician Apprenticeship (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience as a Licensed Electrician
  • General industrial electronics and process control concepts
  • Ability to read, understand, create, and update electrical diagrams
  • Experience with industrial control systems (control panels, relays, contactors, safety systems)
  • Experience with industrial automation systems, including PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMIs

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
