Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food Counter Attendant at Telford Food Services. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, preparing and serving food, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately record food quantities used and maintain inventory levels
  • Prepare and package take-out food, as well as simple food items for our customers
  • Portion and wrap foods, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Take customers' orders and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to meet our high standards
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced environment with frequent standing and walking, requiring a high level of energy and stamina
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift to ensure a comfortable and productive work experience
Requirements
  • Excellent client focus and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service
  • Team player with flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our customers and kitchen team
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
Training and Support
  • On-the-job training provided for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the role
  • Support for newcomers and refugees, including foreign credential recognition to help you succeed in your new role
Work Schedule
  • Permanent position with 30-40 hours per week, offering a stable and predictable work schedule
  • Language: English or French, with opportunities to develop your language skills and work with a diverse team
