Job Profile SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager is responsible for generating orders and sales for Voith Paper, Products & Services in the Eastern Canada territory. This role involves promoting both the Paper Machine (PM) and the Fibers Systems (FES) division's products and services to customers in the region, helping them understand how these products, repairs, spare parts, and services can support their needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the Eastern Canada territory to understand their needs and identify opportunities for Voith Paper to serve them.
- Uncover existing opportunities at mills for new equipment or expansions, working with mill personnel and Voith personnel to develop these opportunities from inception to final sales.
- Support the territory Customer Service Specialist to ensure that Voith gets maximum opportunity for spares and repairs business.
- Provide feedback to Voith Paper through call reports and verbal communication to ensure that Voith Paper provides the optimal solutions and services to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with a pulp and paper supplier firm or experience working in a paper mill.
- Excellent understanding of the paper industry, with emphasis on recycling and stock preparation, paper machine, and finishing.
- Skilled in communications with customers, with an ability to focus on strategic opportunities and benefits-based approaches.
- Self-starter who can develop opportunities independently and communicate with a wide variety of resources within Voith Paper.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and ability to write detailed technical reports.
- Bachelor's degree, University, College, or equivalent in engineering or paper science minimum.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) in French required.
Must live or be willing to relocate to an area central to the Eastern Canada territory. Extensive travel within the region is expected, with nights away from home. Sporadic travel to the US is expected (2-3 times a year).
