Job Overview

Arcadis is seeking a skilled Municipal Infrastructure Inspector to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As a key member of our Places team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of municipal infrastructure projects.

About the Role

This role sits within our global business area Places, where we work with clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe, and sustainable places. You will be working on field review inspections and contract administration for municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and public safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements and public safety standards;
  • Review Contractors' requests for payment to ensure progress, quantities of work completed, and materials delivered to site are accurately recorded;
  • Maintain accurate records of as-constructed information, including periodic progress reports;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure successful project outcomes;
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of field inspection experience, preferably in municipal construction;
  • Successful completion of the MEA/MECP Inspectors Course for the Construction of Sewers and Watermains;
  • Knowledge of standard engineering and construction principles, practices, and techniques, plus pertinent codes, regulations, and statutes;
  • Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills;
  • Working experience with MS Office, Windows, and CADD applications an asset.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. Arcadis offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
