Senior Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team at MeadowBrook. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing initial cost estimates for plumbing and HVAC supplies and services, creating pricing schedules, and developing bid proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with our sales team and clients to understand their needs and provide accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, professional estimates by calculating plumbing and HVAC material quantity take-offs, equipment and labour rates for tender verification.
- Quantify all aspects of the tender document, including tender requirements, written specifications and project drawings.
- Be the technical resource for the sales team and clients, providing expert advice on mechanical systems and estimating.
- Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Prepare submittals and review for conformance with design.
- Work closely with estimators from all disciplines to create a complete estimate for the sales team and client.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a Canadian University with 5+ years of experience in design and estimating.
- Basic understanding of building code and Mechanical design.
- Proven ability to read drawings/submittals using AutoCad, Excel and PDF editors.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and time-management skills.
- A competitive salary of $80,000.00 per year.
