We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Association des transports du Canada. As a key member of our Major Projects Branch, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-priority, large-scale capital projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and technical direction to project teams, ensuring successful and timely project delivery.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee project activities, including procurement, engineering, design, and construction.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and departmental policies.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and community groups.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate project risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, and registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Geoscientists of Manitoba (EGM).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on capital infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, including the Highway Traffic Act, Highway Protection Act, and Workplace Health & Safety Act.
- Master's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Professional certifications in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2.
- Experience working with project management software, such as MS Project or Asana.
