Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets, optimize plant performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Operations Management: Oversee all plant operations, including production scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and maintenance activities, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing cost-saving measures to meet financial targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications, implementing quality control measures and corrective actions to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance staff to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment and machinery.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and services.
  • Customer Relations: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements, implementing best practices and lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a plant management or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials; excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control principles; knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements; strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities; proficient computer skills, including MS Office and ERP systems.
