Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a propane or electrical sit-down forklift to transport materials and supplies throughout the warehouse.
  • Inspect machinery before each shift and report any issues to the production supervisor.
  • Ensure the cleaning of the premises and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Review work completed on previous shifts and prioritize tasks according to production supervisor instructions.
  • Notify the production supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns or safety concerns.
  • Operate the forklift safely and efficiently, following all company health and safety rules.
  • Be vigilant in driving methods to avoid accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Clean the interior and exterior of the forklift regularly.
Requirements
  • Valid forklift operator's competency card or to be renewed.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a sit-down forklift operator.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with a good attendance record.
  • Resourcefulness and punctuality are essential.
