Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our team at Techo-Bloc. As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a propane or electrical sit-down forklift to transport materials and supplies throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to transport materials and supplies to designated areas
  • Inspect machinery before each shift and report any issues to the production supervisor
  • Ensure the cleaning of the premises and equipment to maintain a safe working environment
  • Review work completed on previous shifts and work to be completed according to priorities established by the production supervisor
  • Notify the production supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns
  • Operate the forklift safely and meticulously, avoiding accidents and/or overturns
  • Use the forklift according to its capabilities and limits
  • Be vigilant in driving methods to avoid accidents and/or overturns
  • Clean the interior and exterior of the machine
  • Comply with company health and safety rules
  • Perform all other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Valid forklift operator's competency card or to be renewed
  • Experience as a sit-down forklift operator (1 year minimum)
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Good attendance record
  • Resourcefulness
  • Punctual person
  • Ensure compliance with work safety standards and instructions
