About the Position:

This role reports to the production supervisor and is classified as a NOC Baker. As a Baker at Bakestone Brothers, you will be responsible for preparing dough for bread according to recipes or special customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dough for bread according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Bake mixed doughs.
  • Set up and adjust machines preparatory to operation.
  • Gather ingredients from the warehouse in the necessary quantities according to the production schedule.
  • Scale ingredients according to the recipes and maintain records regarding lot numbers.
  • Monitor oven temperatures and speeds to ensure they meet the standard and adjust as required.
  • Follow production schedule accurately, managing time to finish production on time.
  • Record production information such as quantity, weight, size, date, and product type.
  • Check products for defects and compliance with company standards and adjust machines as necessary.
  • Ensure quality is maintained, and safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
  • Clean equipment at the end of the shift.

Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school.
  • Three years of commercial baking experience is considered an asset.
  • Able to speak, read and understand English.
  • Good math skills.
  • Flexible schedule and able to work weekends.
  • Able to work in a dusty environment.
  • Able to perform lifting of 20 kg.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
