About the Job

Muskoka Mechanical Services Inc is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and lay out reference points for installation
  • Troubleshoot heating systems
  • Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
  • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
  • Provide customer service
  • Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
  • Perform maintenance such as recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system
  • Interpret gas codes
  • Handle, recover, and store refrigerants
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
Requirements
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate
  • Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is noisy, hot, cold, and outdoors. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and use safety equipment.
