Executive Chef for Japanese Cuisine

We are a leading restaurant chain specializing in authentic Japanese cuisine. Our goal is to provide our customers with exceptional dining experiences, and we are seeking an experienced chef to join our team.
Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled cook to take on the role of Executive Chef at one of our locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer expectations;
- Plan and implement menus to ensure variety and freshness of ingredients;
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality standards;
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations;
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize ordering and minimize waste;
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role;
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- Possession of a Safe Food Handling certificate;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills;
- Dependability, flexibility, and reliability.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as group insurance benefits and a permanent work term.
