Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Professional to join our team at Glidex Delivery and Janitorial Services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering various items and products to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver goods
  • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch in a clear and concise manner
  • Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products as required
  • Keep accurate records of items received and delivered
  • Prepare, package, and restock goods for delivery
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
  • Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize delivery routes
  • Record trip information, including vehicle mileage and fuel costs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Local transportation/travel experience
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
