The Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Under the guidance of the Senior Vice President of Operations, the candidate will collaborate with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Projects Coordinators to oversee commercial project construction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Ensuring project outcomes meet design, budget, quality, and schedule requirements
  • Managing prime contracts and subcontracts, including negotiation and performance review
  • Preparing and submitting monthly progress billings
  • Fostering effective communication and relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors
  • Closely monitoring project progress and addressing any issues promptly

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent certification
  • Leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive construction experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and project management software
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • A strong work ethic and enthusiasm for the industry
